Higgins has been appointed as one of the preferred developer/contractors to three frameworks; the GLA’s London Development Panel 2, Sanctuary Group and Catalyst.
The new London Development Panel 2 (LDP2) replaces the first London Development Panel which expired in 2017 and has been established as an efficient means of accelerating the delivery of new homes on public land. It includes established developers, contractors, housebuilders and RPs who have been carefully selected through a rigorous competitive procurement process. The framework will support the Mayor’s ambition to accelerate housing development and will run for a period of 4 years ending on 8th August 2022.
Higgins has been appointed to the national housing provider Sanctuary Group’s new £1.8billion framework for lots covering London and South East ranging from £7.5 million to £25 million plus, along with the East region lot for values of £25 million plus.
Higgins has also been appointed to Catalyst development framework to help the housing association reach its target to build 1,000 homes a year by 2020. The contracts on the framework have a combined value of between £500m and £900m and will see Catalyst deliver a variety of different tenures including affordable rent, low cost home ownership and private sale.
Steve Leakey, Managing Director for Higgins Construction comments, “We are delighted to be named as preferred contractor on three major frameworks and look forward to working together to deliver more homes and sustainable communities.”
