Higgins has started work on the £40 million project on Bath Road, Hounslow to deliver 176 much needed affordable homes, along with a new 6100 sq. ft supermarket for residential property group A2Dominion.
The scheme, which is on the site of a former Morrisons, will provide 93 shared ownership and 83 rented homes in three blocks, ranging up to seven storeys in height. It has also been designed to incorporate residential, outdoor and retail space as well as a play area.
Phil Burrows, Construction Director for Higgins comments, “We are proud to be working on this important scheme in Hounslow for A2Dominion to transform a site that has been derelict for some time and bring much needed affordable homes to the area. With demolition works already carried out, the team is now working on initial groundworks and piling on site.”
Steven Waite, A2Dominion Director of Technical & Commercial, said: “We are proud of our involvement in Hounslow, owning and managing over 2,620 properties in the borough since the last 70 years. We are pleased to be working with Higgins to develop Bath Road, which will create 176 affordable homes for the people of Hounslow.”
The planning scheme has been designed by Colwyn Foulkes & Partners and the delivery architect will be Fourpoint Architects.
