Bridget (Management Trainee), Henry (Management Trainee), Declan Higgins (Partnerships Director), Emily (Management Trainee), Amy Ross (Head of Social Value), Shakil (Management Trainee).

We are delighted to welcome our latest intake of Management Trainee’s this month.

The trainees have enrolled onto BSc Construction Management and BSc Quantity Surveying degrees and will gain valuable experience of core construction disciplines and the intricacies of how Higgins operates.

Declan Higgins, Partnerships Director comments, “Our Management Trainee Programme is an excellent opportunity for students to gain qualifications through a more vocational route. It has been an unsettling time for students this year so we are delighted to be able to welcome out latest intake”

Higgins’ Management Trainee Programme allows trainees to spend four months in four different departments before selecting one area of the business to pursue their career.

During term times trainees work four days a week, with the remaining day spent at an industry accredited University, working towards a Construction related BSc (Hons) degree. The programme fully funds the degree and allows individuals the opportunity to ‘earn whilst they learn’ without the burden of debt once the course has been completed. Individuals will earn a competitive salary and also benefit from performance based annual pay rises.

Whilst at Higgins, each management trainee will also be enrolled in a mentor programme whereby a senior employee provides individuals guidance on their career at Higgins as well as assistance with their studies.

The Higgins Management Trainee Programme for September 2021 intake will be opening in November 2020 with applications reviewed from November 2020 to January 2021. Please enquire at
