Reade Court, Acton
Situated near to South Acton TfL Overground Station, Reade Court was constructed in 2009 as part of a wider, multi-phase estate regeneration. The existing façade of this large ‘H’ shaped block is made up of brickwork and render. Following surveys and investigations we have developed a route to remediation alongside ECD Architects which will be tested to BS 8414 which includes fire stopping all façade penetrations such as around window openings. Our dedicated Resident Liaison Officer has ensured residents remain informed, consulted and satisfied with our works within their homes.
Reade Court is directly across from another similar project, Chaplin House. Being in a densely populated area space is of a premium. We identified a landscaped area situated between the two blocks to provide site accommodation and storage for both projects which is being reinstated and enhanced upon completion.
This is one of nine projects that we have secured after being appointed as sole provider by Catalyst Housing Group on their four-year Fire Remediation Works Main Contractors Framework. We were selected as the most experienced and capable contractor following rigorous selection and tendering procedures and building upon a successful track record of delivering similar projects for Catalyst.
This project is supported by the Building Safety Fund and therefore we quickly engaged the relevant teams to achieve a meaningful start to works by 1st September 2020 to secure the required funding.
