Higgins scoops Outstanding Tenant Engagement – Contractor at National TPAS Awards

Higgins has scooped the prestigious Outstanding Tenant Engagement-Contractor at the National TPAS Awards for its work at Wooddene Estate in Peckham, South London.  

Outstanding Tenant and Contractor Engagement recognises those contractors that have developed and implemented engagement projects or initiatives with the support and involvement of tenants and residents which brings about positive benefits to communities. It seeks to award those that go beyond merely delivering a service but truly engage their customers within it. Higgins fought off stiff competition from five other organisations to be awarded this title.

The TPAS Awards recognise the best in tenant engagement so it is a real honour for us to have been acknowledged within the industry. We would like to thank our project team for all the hard work and its collaboration with the local community to achieve this prestigious award.”

This is the fourth TPAS award Higgins has won, receiving Team of the Year in 2019 for Colville Estate, Excellence in Employment, Skills and Training for the Southern region for Kings Crescent Estate in 2018 and Excellence in Contractor Engagement for the Southern region for Myatts Field North in 2016.

The TPAS awards celebrate the very best in tenant engagement in the housing sector and are open to social housing providers, tenants and contractors to give recognition to their excellent work and vitally to share best practice amongst the sector.
