Populo Living appoints Higgins to deliver Grange Road development in Plaistow

Leading contractor, Higgins has been appointed by Populo Living, the London Borough of Newham’s wholly owned housing company, to build 77 new homes to be let at London Affordable Rent at its site at Grange Road, Plaistow.

This impressive £18 million project comprises the re-development of previously derelict and vacant land to create two contemporary mansion blocks of five and six storeys.  The development will include a landscaped communal garden, cycle storage and open views across the Greenway.

The elegant mansion block design will bring a new standard of design to the area and stimulate further regeneration across the Borough.   The homes are ideally situated backing on to the Greenway, the 4.3 mile long raised footpath and off-road cycle route providing links from Royal Docks Road in Beckton through to Stratford and the Olympic Park.
