Supporting the 16 Days of Activism to end violence against women and girls

Posted 21/01/2026

As part of our ongoing social value commitments at our Hartopp and Lannoy development, we have partnered with the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham to raise awareness on Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) and support initiatives that help women feel safer in their community.

To help women in the borough feel more confident exercising outdoors during the darker winter months, we have provided 30 head torches and 30 running chest lights. This forms part of the 16 days of activism to end Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG), a global campaign focused on raising awareness and driving meaningful action.

Our contribution aligned with Hammersmith & Fulham’s ’16 hours in 16 Days’ campaign, which encourages local residents to complete 16 hours of physical activity over the 16-day period. The campaign raises awareness of VAWG while also generating vital funding for local women’s services.

We worked in partnership with Hammersmith and Fulham Council and the Hammersmith Bridge Running Club (HBRC) to raise awareness and funds for the local women’s centre in Hammersmith, run by Advance.

Ending Violence Against Women and Girls is a key part of Hammersmith and Fulham and central to creating a stronger, safer, and kinder borough. We are proud to play our part alongside the council and local partners in this important initiative, helping women feel safer and more confident in their everyday lives.
