Landmark development comprising 133 mixed tenure apartments for Swan Housing Group in Docklands, London. The apartments are delivered in 3 blocks, one 7 storey, 10 storey and a 24 storey high rise block. The tenure mix enhances living for everyone by combining private housing, luxury apartments, shared ownership and affordable housing on one site, linked by a common aesthetic.
The development was designed by Hunters Architects with Potter Raper Partnerships acting as Employer’s Agent. The typology of properties includes 1, 2 and 3 bed units; of which 13 properties are wheelchair accessible.
All the homes have an EcoHomes rating of Excellent, meaning more substantial living for the residents with all of the homes built to ‘Lifetime Homes’ standards. The scheme includes high quality play areas for young people and toddlers, a community space, concierge facilities and a retail unit at the base of the tower block.
Actress and Designer Sadie Frost partnered with Swan New Homes to provide input into the design of two penthouse kitchens. “This is an interesting venture which will allow me to put some of my ideas about bespoke kitchen design into practice at this impressive docklands housing development” – Sadie Frost.
