Higgins Partnerships has been shortlisted at two major industry awards.

Its partnership with A2Dominion has been applauded by being nominated as Best Partnership for 100 plus homes for Hanwell Square in Ealing at the Inside Housing Development Awards.

The development provides 360 mixed tenure homes and has been delivered through a limited liability partnership between Higgins and A2Dominion. The three-block development has been designed by Assael Architects and delivered by Fourpoint Architects and features a picturesque village square and landscaped courtyards along with ground floor retail shops, garden terraces, staffed concierge, a gym, roof top gardens and play areas for children.

The Inside Housing Development Awards recognises the teams, schemes and solutions that are striving towards more sustainable solutions and projects that put the needs of the communities they serve first as well as making a positive impact in communities across the UK.

Higgins has also been shortlisted in two categories in the Construction News Workforce Awards. The awards recognise the outstanding achievements of those striving to make the construction industry and their organisations great places to work.

Higgins’ Management Trainee Programme has been nominated in the Apprenticeship Initiative of the Year category, while its work with partner charity Eat Club in the London Borough of Newham to provide Eat Club programmes during term time for young people in the local community has been shortlisted for CSR Initiative of the Year.

The aim of the Eat Clubs was to help address child poverty rates in Newham. During the 12 week period when the cookery classes were held, over 312 main courses and 312 desserts were provided for young people, with 26 young people improving cooking skills which leads to improved dietary choices, eating more healthily and being able to cook affordable meals for their family during the cost of living crisis. The impact of this programme helps lead to longer lasting healthy eating habits and dietary choices.
