Chris Homewood and Heetan Lakhman from Higgins Partnerships have been awarded Site Manager of the Year 2024 for the London region, recognising their outstanding work on the Hanwell Square development, on Boston Road, Hanwell, West London.

The landdmark development has been delivered in partnership with A2 Dominion Group, creating 360 affordable and private sale homes as well as flexible workspace, retail units and extensive amenity space.

Declan Higgins, Chief Executive Officer at Higgins Group said, “We are thrilled that both Chris and Keetan have been recognised by LABC Warranty for Site Manager of Year. The Hanwell Square development stands out not only for its scale and ambition but also for the collaborative spirit that has defined its development.

Our commitment to quality has been unwavering, and this development also exemplifies our focus on creating sustainable, vibrant communities while delivering much needed high-quality homes to the area.”

Designed by Assael Architects and delivered by Fourpoint Architects, the three-block development features a picturesque village square surrounded by landscaped courtyards. The buildings’ contemporary soft brickwork contrasts with dark window frames, balconies, and shop fronts, enhancing the architectural appeal.

Residents benefit from a variety of amenities, including retail spaces, garden terraces, concierge services, a gym, rooftop gardens, and children’s play areas. Situated close to Hanwell train station, the development is easily accessible, being just minutes from the Elizabeth Line.

The Site Manager of the Year award by LABC Warranty celebrates site managers across the UK who demonstrate extraordinary dedication to construction quality, especially in the face of industry-wide challenges such as labour and material shortages.

“Even with all the additional challenges posed by labour and materials shortages over the past few years, site managers have continued their invaluable work on new homes,” said Sarah Dee Shapland, LABC Warranty Head of Technical Services. “Despite more unprecedented challenges, the standard of construction across the board has once again been excellent, and it’s a privilege to recognise site managers for their contributions to that.”
