Fulham Good Neighbours, in partnership with Higgins Partnerships, has proudly unveiled “Fulham Through the Seasons”, a vibrant 14-metre mural created by Art Club members whose collective 470 years in Fulham capture the borough’s rich history and character. Now displayed on the hoardings at Higgins’ Hartopp and Lannoy Point development on Dawes Road, the mural showcases Fulham’s iconic landscapes, changing seasons, and deep-rooted community spirit.

Local residents and supporters gathered to celebrate the unveiling, making it a significant moment for both the charity and Fulham. Following the ceremony, attendees joined a celebratory tea at Rosaline Hall, Fulham Good Neighbours’ community centre, where the contribution of each Art Club member to this community masterpiece was celebrated.

The mural, curated by London-based artist and designer Roopa S Basu, who also serves as the Art Club’s facilitator, represents Fulham’s past, present, and future. Its central oak tree symbolises the strength and growth of Fulham Good Neighbours over more than 50 years, framed by depictions of local parks, bustling markets, and native wildlife.

Roopa shared that “this mural is more than just art—it’s a visual celebration of Fulham’s rich history, painted by those who know and love it best. The passion and life experiences of Art Club members are reflected in every brushstroke, making this a true community masterpiece.”

Devia Barkar, Senior Social Value Coordinator at Higgins Partnerships said, "Higgins Partnerships are delighted to have collaborated with Fulham Good Neighbours on this hoarding artwork project. We would like to extend a big thank you to their weekly art club members and especially to Roopa for her dedication in gathering and designing this beautiful mural for us to display. Roopa's effort in curating the artwork pieces and creating the final image has been invaluable, and we are incredibly grateful for her time and creativity in bringing this vision to life."

This unveiling marks only the beginning of Fulham Good Neighbours’ ongoing commitment to celebrating the local community through artistic expression. The charity continues to provide opportunities for older and disabled residents to share their creativity and strengthen their connection to Fulham.

Art Club member Angela, a Fulham resident of over 40 years, described the project as “fun, collaborative, and exhilarating,” while Pat, who has lived in Fulham for 70 years, added, “The friendships I’ve gained from it are priceless. I always look forward to our sessions—it refreshes the mind.”

Fulham Good Neighbours extends heartfelt thanks to Higgins Partnerships for their invaluable support in making this project possible. The charity invites everyone to visit “Fulham Through the Seasons” and encourages the community to support its initiatives, which continue to celebrate and uplift Fulham’s residents.
