Geron Way, Cricklewood

Mixed Use Development for A2 Dominion in Cricklewood, London. The site was a former parcel force depot, we completed the demolition of this and developed the land to create 230 residential apartments, 6 commercial units, a basement complete with car parking, cycle storage, commercial storage and hard and soft landscaping.

The site is located on a parcel of land adjacent to Edgware Road and Geron Way in Cricklewood, North West London which was a brownfield site. The development includes 3 blocks of accommodation formed from a podium extending to 5 and 6 storeys. The mixed tenure development comprises 49 general needs rented tenure apartments, 13 shared ownership tenure apartments, 168 private tenure apartments. The apartment typologies include; studios, 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments.

The development was designed by Hunters. Alongside our pre-construction Team, Hunters assisted us to identify, de-risk and unlock the logistical issues surrounding access to the site to enable development. Extensive negotiations were required with statutory services companies and Transport for London to allow the diversion of several large mains services, including a major diversion of one of the main fibre optic cables serving London.

We worked closely with A2 Dominion to deliver Social Value as part of this development. Initiatives included: Donation of £3,000 to the Multiple Sclerosis Charity, recreation area for the Multiple Sclerosis charity staff, localised roof and cladding repairs Free Of Charge on properties adjacent to the site, 67% of the labour was from the local area, local primary school visits, School kindle and interactive white board donations alongside writing competitions, sponsored a local ‘Town and Country’ community fair event which we advertised on the hoarding to summarise the key initiatives.
