In the last academic year, UK businesses saw 319,000 apprenticeships started and this year, with the 14th National Apprenticeship Week starting this week, there has never been a more important time to showcase the benefits of apprenticeships.
As part of its ongoing commitment to work with the local community around its projects, Higgins Partnerships has been helping special needs school, Shaftesbury High School, in London Borough of Harrow, by moving an existing portacabin at the school so it can be set up as a new library, reading and literacy area for students who attend the school.
Higgins Partnerships has been awarded the contract by Lewisham Homes to build 26 new council homes for families with temporary housing needs, along with six supported living apartments for young adults living with autism.
Construction has begun on 73 new council homes, a retail unit and public open space linking two sites, in Hillside and Milton Avenue, Stonebridge.
A new hoarding artwork has been unveiled at Higgins Partnerships’ Grange Farm site in South Harrow by West London artist, Sarah Blackwell (26). Sarah has taken inspiration from the Grange Farm Estate and its surroundings and created an eye-catching design which reflects different elements of the community.
Work has started on site at ‘Land North of Chippenham Gardens’ to deliver 52 high quality new homes in South Kilburn.
Higgins has scooped the prestigious Outstanding Tenant Engagement-Contractor at the National TPAS Awards for its work at Wooddene Estate in Peckham, South London.
On the back of successful projects at St Bernard’s Gate, London Borough of Ealing and Petershead Court in Southall, Higgins is continuing its expansion into the West of London region.
Following the successful regeneration of phases one and two of the King Square Estate, Islington Council has awarded leading contractor Higgins the contract to redevelop the Telfer House site in Lever Street, Clerkenwell, Islington.
